3) What kind of
media institution might distribute your media product and why?
I choose IPC
Media to distribute my media product as I believed they were best suited to
reach my target audience. This is because they use the media when distributing
there magazines I believe this would be
best to use because the target audience are pupils who are in school which
suggests they would much prefer magazine to read through mobile phones and
other devices. Although IPC main target audience is usually women. I believe
that through my magazine this would mean they would appeal to a larger target
audience and would not be such a niche market magazine anymore. This also has a
great amount of experience when publishing different types of magazines because
there such a high profile Media Company. I chose not to go with other media
institutions such as Bauer, although this media institution has a lot of
experience as they have produced more than 570 magazines they only had a strong
focus for the “weekly women magazines” which suggests they wouldn’t be
interested in a market for pupils of a secondary school.
